This is Not a Misprint: Another Pitt Panther Arrested

If this isn't the worst off-field week in Dave Wannstedt's tenure at Pitt, it's certainly up there.

The latest bad news came about early Saturday morning, as reserve OL Keith Coleman was charged with aggravated assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after breaking a man's collarbone in Oakland. The altercation started when the men became upset after Coleman spoke to their female companions, Pittsburgh Police Sgt. James Kohnen said a witness told police.

This is the team's third arrest since July, following the unfortunate leads of DE Jabaal Sheard and RB Jason Douglas. LB Dan Mason was also disciplined this week for his involvement in the Douglas incident and was demoted to second-team.

Last season, Pitt dealt with off-field incidents for WR Jon Baldwin and LB Adam Gunn and threw two other players (WR TJ Porter and DL Tommie Duhart) off the team for disciplinary reasons.

While off-field conduct for so many young men cannot be policed by one man, Dave Wannstedt is going to have to get this recent epidemic of misconduct under control, and fast.
