Mike Tomczak Resurfaces at Ohio Dominican University

Former Steeler QB Mike Tomczak, arrested earlier this year in a domestic situation but later cleared of assault charges, appears to have landed himself a new gig.

The 47-year-old Tomczak, winner of a Super Bowl ring with the '85 Bears, veteran of 16 NFL seasons and a Pittsburgh Steeler from 1993-99, is the new assistant QB coach at Ohio Dominican University, according to the school's website.

ODU is a Columbus, Ohio-based school with enrollment of 3,100 entering their first season of Division II football after previously competing at the NAIA level. Tomczak has Columbus roots, having played collegiately at Ohio State, where he led the Buckeyes to two Big Ten Championships.

As you may recall, Tomczak was arrested at his Bell Acres home on April 26 after police were called after a domestic situation in which the former Steeler allegedly lunged at his wife and stepped on her foot. Those charges were dismissed in early May this year.
