NEWS AND NOTES

Need to get fired up for the Monday nighter? Check out this NFL video of the origin of the Steelers' use of "Renegade".

--The PG has a list of the top games in Steeler vs. Bronco history; let's hope tonight's doesn't end up like the 1998 AFC Championship game. [PG]

--Pens President David Morehouse suffered a heart attack on Sunday just before the team departed San Jose for Boston. According to KDKA, Morehouse is resting comfortably after a procedure at a San Jose area hospital and is expected to make a full recovery. [KDKA]

--Former Nittany Lion Larry Johnson is now a former Kansas City Chief, as he was released today. Which team has been mentioned as a possible destination? Washington. They really just can't help themselves from signing big-namers, can they? [PFT]

--Pitt rolled to an 83-40 win over Coker College on Sunday, which I can honestly say I've never heard of. The score was 41-6 at halftime, so I guess that means Coker was much improved in the second half. [PG]

--So the Pirates are really considering a reunion with Jack Wilson? Don't do it... [Rum Bunter]

--Here's a recap of that WVU event last week featuring distinguished alumni Bob Nutting, Oliver Luck, and Sam Huff. Pacman Jones was unable to attend. [The Daily Athenaeum]

*What is it with Penn State backs and the NFL? Thank goodness it started after Franco.

* Anyone know how old Morehouse is?

* Did Nutting charge an appearance fee?

* Coker? I don't even know her!
